SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE LEASEBACK INVESTMENT
There is currently an annual shortfall in local maize production of 225,000 tonnes, and 110,000 tonnes for potatoes in Sri Lanka. By increasing local production, local employment increases, more attractive prices can be given to the local market, the need to import will reduce as will emissions associated with transportation, in turn reducing pressure on global crop production and making Sri Lanka self reliant with regards to its most basic and important needs. Investors are invited to assist in helping the Sri Lankan society and community by purchasing prime agricultural land and leasing back to an established, Government-approved farming company in return for a fixed contracted rent for 20 years.
